Pepsi, they, 26. white. I like Digimon, MTG, FF, Warrior Cats, and some other stuff. My fursonas are of a wolf, hyena robot, candy corn cat, lycanroc, silvally, and others.
Here was my submission for the @appmonzine App-Link! Perfect World Appmon fanzine. You know I love Gatchmon and you know Gatchmon loves eating Gatchmonaka! I used a different style for drawing and coloring the backgrounds than what I do in my webcomic and that was really fun! Thanks to everyone who bough the zine! I hope you enjoy all the great works in it.
So here’s something interesting I found while listening to the full version of Digimon Universe opening 2. I’m a bit surprised it took me until this long after the shows conclusion to notice this, but the lyrics in the song are actually talking about Haru, Eri, Astra, and Rei! See for yourself.
The young boy that I was back then, I’ve now surpassed Leaving two sets of footprints in our wake Anyone can become a protagonist if they hope for it The accelerating heartbeat is proof of your newfound story
Haru’s portion of the song is obvious as he’s the main character. It also references Haru’s dream throughout the series of becoming a protagonist.
Next we have, Eri.
You were the girl from that day that stayed looking down Trying to form a smile For whomever wishes to be a protagonist, the center of the stars Even if you take off your glass shoes, you can still shine
These lines are also obviously talking about Eri for multiple reasons. First off, it talks about a girl trying to form is smile which fits with her applidrive question, “Do you want to make somebody smile?”. Her reason to become an idol and really her major goal in the series is to make people smile. Another eye catching thing about these lines is, “For whomever wishes to be a protagonist, the center of the stars”. Eri’s title as an appliyama idol is that she is “the center of the universe.”
Next is about Astra which is probably the least subtle.
Do what you want to do. Yeah, every BUDDY Either a Hi-Fi or a break down. No choice, No life I’m feelin’ the playlist. High-Time, now It’s time to get chance, got it?!
Not only do these lines fit with Astra’s character and personality, it also uses a number of his and musimon’s quotes from the show. “Yeah, every BUDDY” A quote Astra sometimes says when he and Entermon are going to deliver the finishing blow on an opponent. “No choice, No Life” similar to Musimon’s catchphrase, “No Musimon, No life”, and lastly, “I’m feelin’ the playlist”, another quote very often said by Astra and Musimon.
Lastly, we have lines possibly dedicated to Rei. I say possibly because these lines aren’t as obvious as the others and may have no real connection to him as he isn’t part of the main trio, but I thought I’d share them anyway.
There are no bonds that don’t have scars Memories are hidden under the bandages The reason they take the shape of a thread is because they’re tied together
Whenever I count with my fingers what is important to me I realize they are all little things, but it still dazzles me
The memories hidden under the bandages could very well be about Rei’s past and Hajime, and the earlier line, “there are no bonds that don’t have scars” may be talking about their “unique” relationship compared to the rest of the applidrivers and their appmon.
The last couple lines also appear to fit Rei’s character as, unlike the others, he has very little to fight for to begin with
